The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program Alumni Association of New York (JETAANY) is a nonprofit organization serving over 2,000 members in the tri-state area. JET Alumni have all lived and worked in Japan as English teachers in the Japanese Public School System. JETAANY assists returning JETs with acclimating to life and work in New York, fosters education and understanding of Japanese culture, and strengthens ties between JET alumni and the Japanese community.
Saturday Afternoon Pictures is a small footprint and community based film production company. In addition to depicting meaningful stories on screen, the Pennsylvania-based company provides collaboration opportunities for other local filmmakers, and runs an education space for future filmmakers. During the spring of 2015, I worked with the group producing behind the scenes materials for the short film, Got This!
